Hello everyone! I hope you haven't missed me TOO much.. I didn't have the heart to blog last week because between falling sick and being swamped with school, I would have been delivering posts far below par! lol..

I made this slideshow this morning, on my way out so I could show you guys how I did my makeup on most days. Its quick, easy and looks great with everything! I find that most girls 'throw on' mascara and lipgloss when they're headed to school so they don't look overdone or because they simply don't have enough time to do anything more. Here's showing you that using a full array of makeup, in less than a few minutes, you can still look 'day-time appropriate' AND picture-perfect at the same time!

Don't forget to tell me what you think and if you will recreate this look.
p.s. would you want to see more videos like this from me?

Inspiration: Mashup..

Just random photos that inspired me recently...

1. source: the blonde salad. A spectacular arm party..
2. source: the blonde salad. I think anyone would adore fall/winter JUST to wear those Valentino gloves!
3. source: beautycrush. Like the Lita's didn't have enough tough-titude on their own. The jeans and the chain? Holy Smokes!
4: source: neonblush. I just love how the layers and textures flow well together.
5. source: seaofshoes. If only Cinderella had had a choice between these and that old glass slipper..
6. source: neonblush. Nothing like Breath-of-fresh-air scenery!
7. source: the blonde salad. The Proenza Bike. (No, the bike itself isn't Proenza Schouler, the bags are!)
8. source: jay strutHere's so many of my favorite things: The Givenchy Rotweiler tshirt, the Céline mini luggage tote, and the Hermés Collier De Chien bracelet! Such a stud, that Jay. (not name-dropping or anything.... but to think he actually used to follow me on Twitter! haha *sigh*)
9. source: love aesthetics. The minimalist propagandist herself shows that sweatpants (Could've sworn I heard someone gasp!) can be fashionable!

Battle of the Chaussures: Isabel Marant vs. Supra!!

Yes girls, it has finally come to this! I know most of us have seen these Isabel Marant "Bekket" hi-top sneakers pop up everywhere from the streets, to the feet of bloggers [Chiara Ferragni] and celebrities [Beyoncé's Love on Top Video?] alike. I for one, have continued to ask myself the same question: "are they really worth it?" After all, its really close alternative (Hi, Supra!) has a lot to offer as well!

Let the Battle Begin!

With its hidden wedge and versatility, the Isabel Marants raise the bar very high. It appeals more to those fashionistas everywhere that will "never wear flats/sneakers" but want to feel laid back. Bekket wins!

Think about it, the Bekkets have a 'hidden' wedge: that means its still there, and your foot is still strained! The supras are completely flat and will take you for 3 weeks of straight standing/walking - no complaints. {I can't guarantee that, so don't experiment! haha} Supras win!

Isabel Marant - $725
Supras - $80-150
Supras win!

bragging rights
Apparently I was the last one to find out that this was an actual criterion! I think both these shoes are pretty cool! I guess if you're a fancypants, bragging about having THE Isabel Marant Sneakers works for you? Bekket wins! haha

I think it all depends on your pocket range. If you can afford to get the Bekkets, go right ahead. Everyone else, the Supras work just fine as alternatives!

Springtime Madness

Springtime Madness

Springtime Madness

studded bustier - house of fraser | vintage chanel purse - farfetch | printed jeans - D&G | blue peeptoes - Guiseppe Zanotti | printed bustier - Mara Hoffman | boyfriend jeans - h&m | leopard flats - j crew | blouse - orla kiely | sunglasses - illesteva | floral shorts - ally | strappy sandals - jimmy choo | floral blouse - nicola | gold earrings - Van der Straeten | leather skirt - h&m | pastel pumps - kurt geiger | denim x floral bustier - topshop | pink jeans - topshop | strappy platforms - charlotte olympia

These are some of the trends I was talking about in my last post! Prints, Pastel, Denim, Brights, Leather... Notice the DelRey Bag made a feature in the second outfit? I love it! I made this set as individual outfits, but they can all be crisscrossed and still make smashing outfits. The important thing to note is the detailing - The studs on the denim bustier, the black buttons around the pleated shirt, the bows on the Kurt Geiger pastel blue pumps and the floral prints on so many items! That's how you pick up on the season's must-haves..

My Fashiolista list can also give you guys better insight as well!

Tell me what you guys think about these outfits and how you guys would work them! Have a lovely weekend!

necklace - f21
chambray (denim) shirt - H&M
leather skirt - H&M
watch - Michael Kors
bracelets - soho (here)
purse - New Look
wedges - Steve Madden 'westii'

I know I'm not the only one who's done their homework and found Denim + Leather to be a really big trend this season. This as well as pastels, neutrals, brights + patterns. I'm going to be experimenting a lot with these trends on the blog, so I want to thank my readers for practically being my review panel! I really appreciate it, guys!

Its incredibly sunny today, windy too (can you tell from the second-to-the-last picture?)!  My school is actually on Spring Break right now so I basically lounge around reading, watching tv and looking at blogs! If you want me to check out yours, be sure to leave the link in the comments - I love to read all of them!

Have a lovely week! x
